ISC students-Score 83.3% marks in boards or you are out of IIT-JEE race

Attention ISC students! Now ISC students have to score more than 83.3% marks in their 12th board exams to qualify for the seat to appear in IIT-JEE exams. No doubt they have to appear for both mains & advance papers.
There is a two tier admission test for IIT-JEE aspirants. 1.5 lack students cracked JEE mains and appeared in JEE advanced exam which was conducted on 2nd June, 2013.
There is another criteria to get into IITs that is necessary is the percentile of marks obtained in board examinations. Only those students who come under top 20 percentile will get a seat in IIT.
According to CISCE, students who got more than 83.3% marks in board exams, were placed in top 20 percentile and will meet the criteria to get a seat in Indian Institute of Technology. Even if a student scores well in IIT-JEE exams and qualifies the test but is not in top 20 percentile will not get a seat in the premium institute of India.
